A few weeks ago Patrick Liberty made a trip to LA, where he kicked it with David Flores and checked out the 3 Kings Exhibition at Shepard Fairey’s gallery, Subliminal Projects. David Flores, Tart Of Gold (David’s girlfriend), and Patrick rolled to the art show together for Tart Of Gold’s birthday. It popped off and was filled with heavy players in the art game. The show featured the “3 Kings,” Futura, Fab 5 Freddy & Lee Quinones (left in above picture). These guys have been at the top of the game for over 30 years and are NYC art legends. The night filled the air with inspiration from the exquisite art to the creative minds. We’re releasing the 2nd part to the Akomplice x David Flores mini series. Like the 1st mini series, each item is limited to a one time print and comes in a custom David Flores x Akomplice box. In addition, each shirt is hand numbered on the hangtag, which specifies how many were made in that particular color. The 7th annual A3C Hip Hop festival was held a few weekends ago at The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA. The A3C showcases live performances from some of Hip Hop’s most talented artists and also features breakdancing, graphic art, fashion, film, and much more. This year we had our very own loft where we created an interactive space displaying some of our collaborations over the past 7 years. We recently created a very special hyperlight dye that is UV reactive, which causes it to change color in the sun! We teamed up with Dipt to make them a one of a kind snapback for their 10 year anniversary. For this particular hat, we coated the bill with our hyperlight dye causing it to change from white to yellow when under UV light.
