Akomplice’s latest collaboration unites three continents, South America, North America, and Africa. Brazilian based brand Aesthetic and artistic aid group Moi join Akomplice in a collaborative effort bringing higher level education to impoverished communities in Africa. Tomorrow will mark the first in a multi-part collab release, with the stage set in Florianopolis Brazil. The collab will debut first in Brazil, then moving into North America in early 2013. More details will be released throughout the coming months, until then check sneak peaks of some products, as well as event details below, photo re-cap of the party soon.

Last weekend Tony Buyalos (the owner of Shorty’s) hosted an art-show at the Church of Skatan. It featured our boy David Flores doing a mural all across the back wall, as well as displaying his Deathhead Mickey sculpture inside. The Church is a badass skate shop located right off lower State Street in Santa Barbara. The show was fantastic, drawing a large crowd of artists, musicians and intrigued characters from around the area. The homegirl, Inga Guzyte, was nice enough to document the night with a series of excellent shots. Have a look at all of em after the jump.

Akomplice took the the streets of the Democratic National Convention for the coming lookbook. Hypebeast has posted some of the photos in an excellent preview. The event was politically charged, as large numbers of different groups paraded through the streets of Charlotte, trying to get their message heard. Hypebeast‘s version is a toned down representation of the final package, some of the stuff caught on camera was more controversial than what you’ll find in an average lookbook. As much as the pictures show the insanity and tension of what was taking place, you can rest assured the actual event was much crazier than the representation. Expect the full documentation to drop in the coming weeks.
