Patrick Akomplice Meets Lauryn Hill

November 20th, 2012

This last weekend Akomplice caught up with Grammy Award winner Lauryn Hill and got to catch a show at The Fillmore in Denver, Colorado on her latest tour. The illusive Lauryn Hill, one of early hip hops most powerful figures seems to have found the spot light again. After her run with The Fugees she disappeared in 2000 and wasn’t even seen in the public eye and definitely not performing. From 2000 Lauryn made very few appearances performing, canceling many shows with the exception of a few here and there like; Dave Chappelles Block Party and an Mtv Unplugged performance. One of our generations most talented singer song writers and rappers has found her voice again. Lauryn’s performance these days consists of a full live band sitting in with her as well as Ms. Lauryn doing some solo acoustic guitar work. We thank Lauryn for allowing us to meet her and grace us with her presence and her vibrant art form. “Fantasy is what people want, but reality is what people need” -Lauryn Hill
