Next Friday, December 14th, legendary streetwear pioneer, X-Large will be teaming up with Akomplice for the unveiling of our holiday capsule collection, The Monkey Wrench Gang series. Inspired by Edward Abbey’s novel of the same title, the collaborative collection is a middle-finger to corporate industrialists who place profit over nature. Akomplice is very proud to work together on this with X-Large, a streetwear brand so OG that many don’t even know it fathered their style. They are huge in Asia with tons of Flagship stores in many different countries. These days they are just starting to relaunch the brand in the USA. The party will be poppin’ off at the X-Large store in downtown LA, an institution which has been around for 20 years, with sounds by DJ C-Minus and DJ #BluntTime, and complimentary beverages by Flying Dog.
