When it comes to legendary photographers in the game, not many top Ricky Powell. He was one of the sole photographers able to witness and photograph the come-up of hip-hop. Ricky is about as OG as it gets, from shooting famous hip-hop artists, to movie stars, to iconic artists of our time. Big names like the Beastie Boys, Andy Warhol, Run DMC, Jean Michael Basquiat, Eazy E, Madonna, Afrika Bambaataa, Public Enemy, Biz Markie, KRS-1, and it doesn’t stop there. He also has his own Pony shoe<\/a> that made the cover of Sneaker Freaker.\u00a0If you haven’t seen our collab with our friends over at\u00a0Sneaker Freaker<\/a>, check it out. Now at the Fuzion flag ship store in California, Akomplice will be releasing a dope project with Ricky Powell in honor of his 50th anniversary. \u00a0He will be live in the building, and will give a live presentation of his photo show.
