Spring 2012 Look Book Part 5: Backside

April 4th, 2012

The final destination for the photo shoot was Backside in Burbank, home to the television studios of CBS and NBC. We shot with Angel, Campos, Alana, George, and Quentin. Backside is virtually a real life version of the movie Empire Records. A record/clothing store with an eclectic staff, Backside is one of the most chill shops in LA. With arcade games like Bubble Pop, the best brands, and the hottest records, how can you go wrong? Check out more pics after the jump.

George wears Well and Good

Backside would conclude our photo mission. Blake did an amazing job with the photos from shooting to editing. I am very proud of this look book and feel that it reflects LA street culture and all its variety.   –  Patrick Liberty

Designs that didn’t make the cut but maybe should have.

April 3rd, 2012

This is a new segment on the Akomplice site called Designs That Didn’t Make The Cut But Maybe Should Have. The segment will showcase some of the Akomplice designs that didn’t make it into a catalog, not necessarily because it wasn’t good enough but maybe because of timing of conflict of interest. You’re the first to see it and don’t be surprised if you see us pop up somewhere on something. –Mike Akomplice

Saw this posted on Instagram by @liliarose. Inverted Akomplice Liberty design. This piece has always been the most widespread Akomplice design, seen all over the world and in tons of media publications. Keep emailing Akomplice sightings, info@Akomplice-Clothing.com.

U.S.V.I. St. John

April 3rd, 2012

Most of Saint John is protected as a National Park, which is so refreshing. It’s nice to see beautiful spots that haven’t been exploited. We stayed in wooden tents, no running water, and a cold shared shower a few minute walk away. It was amazing, simple life, peace of mind. Patrick and I work everywhere we go, so we just setup the laptop, made calls, and swam multiple times a day; we ignored the local restaurant and cooked all of our meals on a camping stove. Time to jump to Europe, next spot on the list, British Virgin island Jost Van Dyke. Check a few shots I took and posted on my Instagram (@MikeAkomplice). -Mike Akomplice
