Akomplice’s photographer and marketing hand Sarah A has just landed in Paris. She’ll be spending the next 10 days exploring the boundless artistic inspiration Paris has to offer, and ultimately shooting our next lookbook. Photo’d below is a shot taken by Mike Akomplice, portraying the rarely seen view of classic Renaissance mixed with modern street art. Akomplice Colombia shows 2 walks of life with their first look book, comprised of Akomplice garments ranging from Fall 14 to Holiday 14. The look book was photographed by Colombias’ own Juan Camilo Calle. The photos were taken in two contrasting environments, but both in the city of Medellin. One setting is a dark night club, the other a bright botanical garden. The look book includes highlights from our Michael Cina collaboration series, which we previously have only shown in product photos. From Pablo Escobar-ish figures to the beauties of Colombia, this look book shows a culture rarely looked into by the rest of the world. Product is available in Colombia and on our Webstore. Grant Kwiecinski, better know as GRiZ, is a longstanding proponent of Akomplice, so it was only a matter of time before we teamed up. He came to us with the idea of fashioning a custom hooded varsity jacket, inspired by the Akomplice jacket he rocked religiously on tour. This collaboration was a true meeting of the minds. GRiZ weighed in on every detail of the jacket’s design, while we sourced materials and ensured all embroidery and appliqués were flawless. We both played the role of designer on this one, and our mutual output is a wool based, vegan sleeved varsity jacket complete with a zip-off hood. In addition to the jacket, the collaborative pack will include a USB dog tag that contains an unreleased track from GRiZ, as well as his full discography and some bonus Akomplice material.
