Next Friday, December 14th, legendary streetwear pioneer, X-Large will be teaming up with Akomplice for the unveiling of our holiday capsule collection, The Monkey Wrench Gang series. Inspired by Edward Abbey’s novel of the same title, the collaborative collection is a middle-finger to corporate industrialists who place profit over nature. Akomplice is very proud to work together on this with X-Large, a streetwear brand so OG that many don’t even know it fathered their style. They are huge in Asia with tons of Flagship stores in many different countries. These days they are just starting to relaunch the brand in the USA. The party will be poppin’ off at the X-Large store in downtown LA, an institution which has been around for 20 years, with sounds by DJ C-Minus and DJ #BluntTime, and complimentary beverages by Flying Dog. For us here at Akomplice it is a milestone to make this partnership. Come celebrate with us and promote the protection of the independent lifestyle. Together we are the MWG.

Moi: Akomplice x Aesthetic – Brazilian News
Akomplice has teamed with the Moi Platform and Aesthetic (both Brazilian organizations from Florianopolis). The project aims to produce awareness about the role higher education plays in developing evolution and quality of life for humans everywhere. The project also aims to create revenue, from which 100% of the profits will donate to The Empada Students Project (part of the Moi Platform), which invests in college scholarships for local students in Guinea-Bissau. The scholarships cover tuition in Bissau, the country’s capital, for students from the village of Empada. We believe that education is the most efficient way of catalyzing changes and creating youth leadership in small communities. Check a news story run on Globo, Brazil’s largest television network about the collaboration. Keep an eye out for the North American release which will take place late February.
