Akomplice and David Flores continue the tour with the second stop in a weekend at Denver’s own Community Service. This time around David was nice enough to produce a mural in the shop, on the wall above the drinking fountain. If you’re ever thirsty in Denver stop by and you can enjoy the company of a wealthy-looking buzzard surveying your sips. We got some great pics of David’s process, from bare wall to completed piece. Check ’em all out after the jump. Thanks to Nick D’Antonio and Ray Montes from Evolved Kulture for the sick shots.

Join The Monkey Wrench Gang
In the spirit of mischief, in the name of civil disobedience, Akomplice and X-Large come together to form the Monkey Wrench Gang.
First Stop: Family Affair
Our first stop on the tour was Family Affair in the LODO region of Denver. Some of Denver’s finest, fresh-minded crews came through to see what was up. The show turned out awesome. Good times were had by all, some people even got their hair chopped. We got a bunch of pics from the night, check ’em out after the jump. Thanks to Terrence Duncan for that awesome shots.
Attention Boulder/Denver: We Need Interns
The owners of Akomplice Clothing are going to be working in Boulder/Denver area for 1 to 2 months beginning today (8/11/12) and are seeking 2 interns. We are seeking talented, intelligent and on-point people. You will get a very close, inside look into how the streetwear industry really works. Akomplice sells at 200+ boutiques & skateshops worldwide. If accepted, you will assist with a million different things, and most the time will be working one-on-one with one of the two owners. The focus of the work will be in the fields of marketing, design, production, and management. This is a rare opportunities as Mike Smalls and Patrick Liberty (owners) rarely ever do work from an office. If you think you fit the bill, have a legitimate passion for fresh clothes, and a solid work ethic then contact us at info@akomplice-clothing.com with the following information:
1. What are you most passionate about?
2. Two reasons why you think you are a good fit.
3. A copy of your resume.
4. Your favorite juice.
5. What are you better at, math or english?
6. Your availability
7. Are you good at chess?
8. Do you have a photographic memory?
Just so you know who you will be working with, here’s a brief bio on what these two brothers have accomplished:
Mike and Patrick conceived Akomplice at the tender ages of 18 and 20. Hailing from rural Colorado, without any industry-specific education, the two brothers embarked on their first collection with nine of their initial thirteen illustrator designs. Fast-forward eight years, Akomplice is a pillar within the street-wear industry, though they still preserve the curiosity and passion that was there from day one. Akomplice boasts collaborations with iconic figures and media outlets including the Wu-Tang Clan, DOOM, Sneaker Freaker, Frank 151, Eligh of Living Legends, Hieroglyphics, Warner Brothers, Good Wood NYC and Vernon Davis. Mike and Patrick have also been commissioned for designs by Nike’s lifestyle arm, Nike Sportswear on multiple occasions.
Akomplice is currently sold in 18 countries, and is represented all across the US. Akomplice has enjoyed tenured success selling to Los Angeles institution, Conveyor at Fred Segal for over five years. Mike and Patrick have created an industry standard with Akomplice, through thought provoking graphics, and calculated material choices that gain sophistication with each season. Though they’ve enjoyed swift and strategic growth, Mike and Patrick have maintained the ethos of “evolution through innovation” which is apparent within each collaboration, and garment produced.
Thanks,
The AK team
Akomplice at Agenda
August 1st and 2nd, Long Beach, CA was host to the Agenda Tradeshow. If you’re not familiar, Agenda is one of the industry’s largest expositions. Hundreds of the top brands in streetwear and skate culture gather together to show off the upcoming lines, exchange ideas and generally enjoy the company of like-minded people. Out of a 10′ x 10′ booth Akomplice hustled goods, and proved to be one of the more desirable brands at the show, conducting one presentation after another for interested clients.
